It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved Gershon Joshua Athembo of Kano Kamagaga, K’owuor on 26th February, 2017. Loving husband of Hon. Florence Achieng’ Athembo (MCA Nairobi County) and Mary Anyango. Son of the late Justus and Rebecca Ongus.

Dear father of Nancy Athembo (N.C.W.S.C), Billy Ongus (K.D.F), Catherine Apondi (C.O.A-Norway), Andrew Athembo (Techno), Dr. Dorothy Athembo (Mbita sub-county), Cynthia Adhiambo (N.R.C), Hope Hilda (Nrb), Joseph Odinga (Multi-Media University), Martha Athembo, Esau Odongo (N.C.C) and Jacob Opiyo. Father-in-law of Kennedy Ibrahim (K.RC.P.S). Brother of David Odago, Erick Kwach, the late Rosa Buoga, the late Henna Akinyi, the late Monica Wandei and Josephine Ongus Son in law of the late Anselmus Misawo and Catherine Adoyo Misawo. Brother in law of Pascal Misawo, Michael Misawo, Teresa Omogi, Mary Okongo among others. Grand father of Sylvia, Florence, Meshark, Henry, Hope, Neema, Darrel, Emmanuel, Imani, Joseph, Gerry and Andreas among others.

Daily meetings are being held at City Hall-Charter Hall, ground floor from 5.00pm.The main Harambee will be held on Tuesday 7th March at the same venue, same time.

Funeral contributions can be channeled through Lipa na Mpesa Till No 671191- Lipsy Enterprises. The cortege leaves Aga Khan Kisumu Mortuary on Friday 10th March for his rural home at Awasi, Kisumu County and burial ceremony will be at St. Mary’s Church Awasi (Legio) – Dag Chikruok on Saturday 11^th March 2017 from 10am.
