It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mr. Hezron Oigo Obegi, on 25th May 2026 at Bosongo Hospital, Kisii after a short illness.

Son of Obegi Nyanchage and Agness Gesare.

Beloved husband of Elmelda Kerubo Oyori, Loving father of the late Ezekiel Mirieri, Jane Kemuma, John Nyanchage, the late Mark Ombui, the late Irine Nyansarora, Ruth Bochere and Eunice Moraa.

Father in-law of Wambui, Antony, Caroline and Dennis.

Grandfather of Xena, Beryl, Yan, Ashly, Zara, Talia, Trevor, Aida, Purity, Jayden, the late Divan, Shadrack,Wema and Elijth.

Brother of Mabeya, Joshua, Saisi, Alice and Ann, the Obegi late Onderi, the late Aricha, the late Oigo, Alex, the late Kerubo, the late Kemunto, the late Jeria, Moraa, the late Kanisa. Uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

The cortege leaves Bosongo Hospital, Kisii on Thursday, 11th June 2026 for burial at his home in Bomosambi Village, Emesa Sub-location, Boochi Borabu Location, Kenyenya Sub-county, Kisii County on Friday, 12th June 2026,
