Joan Wambui Gitachu (Mama Mwaura)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Joan Wambui Gitachu (Mama Mwaura) on 22nd May 2017 at the Nairobi Hospital.

Wife of Dr Joshua Gitachu Mwaura. Mother of the late Eric Mwaura, the late Daniel Ng’ang’a, Charity Wanjiku, Anne Wanjiku, Kenneth Mwaura, Evelyn Wanjiru, Faith Njeri and Edna Mwaura, Mary Wathano and Samuel Kuria. Sister of Beth Nyathira, the late Monicah Nyambura Watitu, Tabitha Karanja, Rev. George Wanjema, Willy Njoroge, Gerishon Kuria and Jane Muiruri. Grandmother of Anastasia Mukami, Daniella Wambui, Joshua Gitachu, Zack Kiguru and Yvonne Wambui.

Prayers and preparation meetings are taking place at Dr. Mwaura’s residence in Majengo, Thika, daily from 3.00 p.m.

The cortege leaves Bishop Okoye Funeral Home Thika on Tuesday 30th May 2017 at 8.00 a.m. for the funeral service and burial to be held in Gathanji, next to Gathanji Primary School, Gatanga Constituency, Murang’a County.
