Josphat Steve Wandabwa

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Josphat Steve Wandabwa on 24th May 2026 at the Western Kenya Heart and Cancer Centre in Kisumu.

Josphat was the son of the late Canon Benjamin Wandabwa and the lace Mania Grace Nasike Wandabwa. Son-in-law of Retired Chief Livingstone Wangwe and the late Mama Susan Nakhumicha Wangwe.

Beloved husband of Isabel Nelima Wangwe. Father of Arnold Chenge, Mildred Muhindi, Annette Juma, and Andrew Zeddy.

Brother of the late Edward, late Peter, late Eric, late Benson, Rosemary Mututa, the late Benard, Dr. Catherine Simiyu and Clara Nekesa. Father-in-law of Faith Chenge, Clarkson Muhindi and Gabriel Juma.

Grandfather of Hannah and Amira. Uncle of Job, Carolyne, Kevin, Nancy, Renson, Caleb, Matthew among others.

In-law of Joyce, Margaret, the late Josephine, Roza, Benson, Fred, John, Catherine, Dorah, Jocelyn, Chongoi and Lilian.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home for funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Delights Funeral Home, Ndengelwa on Thursday 11th June 2026 for a memorial service at St. Andrews Church Butonge Parish followed by an overnight vigil at his residence. Burial will take place on Friday, 12th June 2026 from 9:00AM at his home in Malakisi location, Bungoma County.
