It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden passing on of Lucy Nereah Wanjiku Wanyoike on Saturday 15th April 2017, formerly of Barclays Bank of Kenya. Ltd. Daughter of the late Jonathan Ng’ang’a (Honoki) and the late Hannah Ngoiri Ng’ang’a, Mother of the late Mary-Teresa Mira, Patrick Maimba (UoN), Emma Maungu (UNEP), Grace Ngugi (National Museums of Kenya), Irene Muchunu (DFID), Ng’ang’a Wanyoike (Architect, Rongai), Dominic Ngugi (formerly of Kuik-Fit), and Angela Maria Kariuki (Elijen TTC, Buruburu). Mother-in-law of Sane Mairnba, Benedict Maungu (UNSOS), the late Ngugi Muhindi, William Muchunu, Pauline Ng’ang’a, Millicent Ngugi and Dennis Kariuki (Cortec Systems and Solutions). Sister of Joseph Samuel Mungai, Esther Thunguri and the late John Kamau. Adoring grandmother of 25, great-grandmother of 10 and Aunty of many. Relatives and Friends are meeting daily at her home in Buruburu Phase 1, and Garden Square Restaurant Nairobi at 6.00pm.
The cortege leaves Montezuma & Monalisa Funeral Home on Tuesday 25th April at 8.00 a.m. for a funeral Mass at her home in Olooloitikoshi (Birika) along Kiserian-lsinya Road, Kajiado East Constituency. Burial will follow thereafter.
