Mama Mwalimu Dane Tezra Ayoo Ouko

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mama Mwalimu Dane Tezra Ayoo Ouko which occurred on 8th July at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) Eldoret. Dane was a retired teacher, Lake Primary School Kisumu.

Daughter of late Fanuel and late Priscah Ogony of Uyoma Kokwiri.

Wife of the late George Ouko Kasera. Mother of the late Francis, Dr. Christine Odinga (Moi Univ) Mildred, Douglas, Caren, the late Samuel,Wilson, Sharon, Everline, Priscah and the late Joy. Grandmother of Emmanuel, Roy, Maryjufie, Beatrice, Salves Adonipah, Faith, Geoffrey, Brian, Jolene, Sandra, Rachel, Trixie, Peres, Jerry. Sofia, Nicole, Nigel, Nada, Markline. Samantha and Angel. Great grandmother of many.

Sister of the late William, the late Shadrack, Ben Ochieng, the late Charles, the late Jacob, the late Anton and Alex In-law of Mr. Charles Kasera, the late Dorca, late Andronico, late Rael, late Elisha Mitto, late Ann Aoi, late David and late Ishmael, Mary Ochieng. Peninah, Peres, late Yuma, late Luisa, late Sylvia, Monica.

Mother in-law of Fred Odinga, late Peter Adala, Dan Ojwang, Albert Wandera, Jeniffer Mumbua and Judy Chemutai.

The cortege leaves MTRH Funeral Home on 24th July 2026 at 8am after a prayer for a Church Service at St. Stephen Kisumu at 12pm time day.

Burial service will be held at her home in Ramba, Asembo on Saturday 25th July 2026.
