Nelson Njiru Namu

14 April 1969 – 15 July 2026

With profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Nelson Njiru Namu, was the Senior Election Officer for Runyenjes Constituency at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission who departed peacefully on 15 July 2026.

Nelson was a husband of the late Mary Wanjeru Njiru and Rinchristine Mukiri, father of Robinson Njeru, Teresia Kawira, Doreen Kagendo, Alfred Mugendi, Charles Mutwiri, Raymonds Mukiri, Natasha Makena, Talia Mwende, Victor Mureti and Wilkister Gatumi.

Son of the late Richard Namu and Alice Muringo. He was brother of Albert, Edward, Lydia, Gilbert, John, Jerusa, Johana and Lawrence. He was a cousin, in law, grandfather, colleague, mentor, friend to many.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday 25/07/2026 at his home in Kavengero village, Mbeere North, Embu County, beginning at 0900hrs.

Daily meetings are ongoing in his home at Kavengero village.
