Miss Terry Matundura Sitima

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Miss Terry Matundura Sitima, who went to be with the Lord on 09/07/2026 in Nairobi after a short illness.

Terry Sitima and Tom Onyangore Gwaro were blessed with children, Janice Nyanchoka and Geoffrey Onchoka.

Terry was the daughter of the late Geoffrey Sitima and late Mama Mary Sitima of Sengera, Manga, Nyaramba Village. She was granddaughter of the late Masire Nyabando and the late Mama Eunice Morangi. Also, grand daughter of the late Israel Onywere and late Wilkister Buyeke Onywere of Nyamagesa Village, Nyaribari Masaba, Kisii County. Terry was sister of Nancy Boyani Sitima, Margaret Moraa Sitima, George Ombati Sitima, and Cornelius Ochanda Sitima.

Niece of the late Simon Abuya, late Simon Chogoo, late Nduko, late Japheth Ogori, Jemimah Masire, Milka Masire, Rael Rasugu, late David Onywere, Paul Onywere, late Elizabeth Ondati, late John 0. Onywere, late Esther Moraa Mokaya,Abigael Ouko, Isaac Onywere,Teresa Moige, Musa Onywere, Stanely Onywere, Richard Onywere, and many more other loving uncles/aunties.

She was cousin of Tom Onyiego, Edward M. Onyiego, Hon.Winfridah Boyani Matundura Sitima Mokaya (High Court of Kenya),Abel Ondati, Jerushah Abuya, Evans Abuya, Joshua Abuya, Alkaline Boyani, Samuel Nyatome, John Masai* late Matunda, George Nduko, Caleb Rasugu, Samuel Okioga, Esther Moraa,Victor Ouko, Denis Ouko, Samuel Ondati, Geoffrey Ondara, Ben Ondati, Alice Ondati, late Machoka, Nyabonyi and many other loving cousins.

She was aunt of Tracy Gesare, Michael Sitima,Teresa Kiarie, Mary Kiare, Joyce Ombati, Loy Ombati, Geoffrey Ombati, and David Sitima. Terry was sister-in-law of Jeremiah Bwonda, Elizabeth Rutuna, Leah Nyambeki and John Kiarie.

She will be buried at her farm in Solai, KFA Nakuru on 31st July 2026. Departure from Nairobi will be at 9am at Montenzurna Funeral home on 30th July for burial in Solai for overnight stay at her residence.

The fundraising will on Tuesday 28th July at Sprft at her residence in Makadara, Hamza adjacent to the Makadara chief’s office.

She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, unwavering love for her family, and the lasting impact she made in the lives of all who knew her. Though her earthly journey has come to an end, her legacy of love, compassion, and faith will remain in our hearts forever.
