Mr. Edwin Kipchirchir arap Koech

With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing of Mr. Edwin Kipchirchir arap Koech of Kipketii Village, Bomet County which occurred on Sunday 19th April 2026.

He was the beloved husband of Rachel Chepng etich Koech.

He was the son of the late Kiptoo Kipkoech arap Mosonik and the late Cheptonui Kipng’atat Mosonik of Kiptome Location, Cheptigit Village, Kericho. Brother of the late Simeon & Jane Koech, late Helen and late Daniel Kirui, Prof. Wilson & the late Rose Koech, David and Zeddy Koech, the late Joseph and Anna Koech and William & the late Grace Koech.

He was the stepson of late Obot Chebutich and stepbrother of the late Ester Tapkigen Teimet and late Sara Chemagut Kimeto.

Beloved father of Dr. Angela & Prof Wilfred Lesan, CS Davies Chirchir & Dr. Betty Chirchir, Charles and Salome Chirchir, Dr. Reuben and Caroline Chirchir, Richard & Veronica Chirchir, Philip & Sarah Chirchir, Lily and David Sakaja, Evelyn and the late Michael Zagabe, Florence Koech, Caroline & Reuben Wambwa. He was the grandfather and great-grandfather to many.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
