Edna Mmbali Ombakho

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely demise of our beloved Edna Mmbali Ombakho, a talented Graphic Designer who was pursuing her Master’s degree in Digital Marketing at York St John University, London Campus, which occurred on 1st February 2026 in Wraysbury, Berkshire, United Kingdom.

She was the beloved daughter of Dr George Anthony Ombakho and Beatrice Musilivi Shitambasi and loving sister of Jesse Ombakho, Dr Elsie Ombakho, Florah Ombakho, and Mercy Ombakho.

Edna was a maternal granddaughter of Loise Mmbali and the late Gideon Shitambasi of Shamiloli Village, Mukulusu sub-Location, Murhanda Location, Shinyalu sub-County, Kakamega County and paternal granddaughter of the late Michael Odero Oyeyo and the late Flora Masakhwe Odero, of Randago Village, Bukhakalire sub-Location, Marachi Central Location, Butula sub-County, Busia County.

The late Edna was a niece of CPA Eliud Oyeyo (USA), Redempta Madiro, CPA Mary Ingunyi Odongo (MCA, Busia County), Hillary Wafubwa, Hellen Sirima, Late Ignatius Matsotso and CPA Vivian Lukoba.

Similarly, Edna was a lovely niece of Velma Ayuma, Aggrey Muteshi, Patrick, Ronald, Samuel, Michael, Late Everline, Roseline, Ramona and Laura Shitambasi, and a cousin to many.

There will be a Memorial Service at the Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home Chapel, Raila Odinga Way, Nairobi, on Wednesday, 22nd April, 2026 at 10 am.

The cortege will leave the Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home for Kitale on Friday, 24th April 2026, with interment to take place at the family home in Toro Farm, Kitale on Saturday 25th April 2026, after a funeral service at the neighbouring Willterm Memorial ACK School.
