Mr. Titus Kareru Gatua

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing on of Mr. Titus Kareru Gatua, formerly of Kansas USA and Kenya Railways Corporation

Beloved husband of the Mrs. Esther Mairu Gatua. Loving father of the late James Muturi, Michael Mwaura, Serah Warucu and Ruth Karugi. Dear father-in-law of Mercy Karimi Muturi and Elizabeth Wanjugu Mwaura. Doting grandfather of Trevor Kareru Muturi and Tyra Esther Mairu Muturi.

Titus was the son of the late Jesse Gatua and Serah Warucu of Kagaa Village, Githunguri Sub County, Kiambu County.

His parents-in-law were the late Isaac Mwaura Gachuchu and the late Ruth Karugi from Nyaga Village, Githunguri Sub County, Kiambu County.

Brother of the late Lillian Wanjiru Kabiru, the late Simeon Gathirwa, the late Rahab Njeri Njenga, the late David Njuru, the late Tabitha Njambi Muturi the late Elizabeth Wambui and the late Joyce Kiringa.

Brother in law of the late John Wainoho Kabiru, Dr Naomi Waithera Gathirwa, the late Rev. Peter Njenga Ndinguri, the late Ben Muturi Gachoka and Wambui Njuru. Much loved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, mentor and friend.

Family and friends will gather for prayers on Tuesday, 9 June andVVednesday 10 June 2026 from 5.00 pm to 7.00pm at PCEA St.Andrews Church Nairobi.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home on Friday I 2th June 2026 at 7.30 am for a funeral service to be held at PCEA St.Andrews Church Nairobi at 9.30am. Thereafter the body will be taken to Kagaa Village, Githunguri Sub County,  Kiambu County where he will be laid to rest.
