Mzee CPL Moses K. Simatwa

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved Mzee CPL Moses K. Simatwa, affectionately known as Commando of Bungoma Police Station, who departed this life on 13thJuly 2026.

He was the beloved son of the late Mzee Joseph Simatwa Kimatwai of Kamnyega Clan and late Mama Lorna Atyang Simatwa of Isama Clan. A devoted husband of Mary Khakhui Matwana, and a loving father of Joyce Sudi Simatwa,Caren Tawarar Simatwa,Lorna Atyang’ Simatwa,DonCarlose Chesiro Simatwa,The late JohnCliff Chepkech Simatwa,Dianah Cherop Simatwa and Joseph Solomon Simatwa.

A darling grandfather to Fidel Castro Chemaswet,Tania Khakhui Chesiro,Tamara Chepkwemoi Chesiro and Kian Kiprotich.

He was a cherished brother of Charles Ndiema,The late Julias Chepkoi,Phanice Chenge, Alice Nang’uni,Esnas Chesiker, Francis Chesebe,Selina Simatwa,Phylis Amoding and Esther Iparasi.

He was also a beloved brother-in-law of Eunice Nanyama, Agnes Namalwa and the late Muhatia Masanja and Caleb Amwai

He was a dear nephew of the late Zakayo Okumu,Fred Ipapo,Kirade,Kaindi,Manya and Ann Aulagot.

He leaves behind many nephews and nieces as well as numerous cousins, relatives, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.

The funeral service and burial will be held on Friday 31st July 2026, at his home in Kakemer Village, Chamasiri Location, Teso North Sub-County, Busia County, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
