It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved matriarch, Philsler Wangeci Thuku, on Tuesday, 14th July 2026.

She wascherished co-wife with the late Tabitha Wanjiku to renowned freedom fighter Harry Thuku.

Loving mother .a Irene florence Wangari Mbugua, George Thuku, Dorcas Wanjiku (New Jersey), the late Samson Ngotho, Pauline Njoki (Njoki wa Westlands), the late Grace Wambui Ochieng, and Emily Nduta Ndirangu. Mother-in-law of the late Eric Migwi, Dr. Paul Mbugua, Agnes Wanja, Julia Wangari, the late Elwyn Ochieng, and Moses Ndirangu. Adoring grandmother of Maureen,Yvonne & Ken, and Brian Migvvi, Dennis and Harry Mbugua; Wambui, Paulette &Titus, and Brian Thuku; Ian, Edwin, Miriam, Erastus, and Kevin Ngotho; the late Martin, Jessy, and Elsie Thuku; Wangechi and Jerome. Great Grandchildren: Haniel, Darnell, Ethan, Nathan, Nooria, and Amari.

Friends and family are meeting daily at her home in Mitahato, Kambui funeral and burial arrangements.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, 22 July 2026 at St. Joseph’s ACK Church, Mitahato from 10:30am, followed by the burial ceremony at her home in Harry Thuku Farm in Mitahato, Kambu.

Rest in God’s arms, Maitu.You will remain in our hearts forever.
