Sunrise, I 3/5/ 1956 • Sunset, 1 5/5/20 1 7     It is with humble acceptance that we announce the death of Simon Kiptoo Mun’gou formerly of Probation Department, Ministry of Home Affairs.
Son of Mama Joyce Mun’gou and the late Mzee Jackson Mun’gou. Step-son of Susanna and the late Drusilla Mung’ou. Devoted husband of Josephine Mueni Kiptoo. Father of Dennis Kiptoo (National Bank), Kenneth Kimtai (TradeMark EA), Viola Cherotich (formerly of Chase bank) and Lydia Mutindi. Nephew of Mzee John Mung’ou, Emanuel Masibo among other.
Father-in-law of Catherine Kossir (Techno Brain) and Cynthia Kimtai (I&M Bank). Brother of Mary Ngetich, Hellen Wafula, Jane Sore and Agnes Mukung. Co-parents-in-law of Rose Mutheu Ochieng , the late Dennis Ochieng Masinde (formerly of KWS) and Francis Munuve Kalili (Kalili & Co. Advocates) and Felistus Munuve (Kitui Central Primary). Grandfather of Ivana Chebet. Brother-in-law of the late Julius Ng’etich, Albert Wafula, Jason Sore, David Mukung, Jones Muia, Joseph Muia and Rose Muia. Uncle of  Salome, Robai, Job, Isaac, Emmanuel, Evelyne, James, Nancy, Lialian, Diana, the late Cherop, Moses, Chebet, Charlotte, Linah, Enberry, Jackson, Tessy, Josiah, Faith, Eunice, Lilian, Mutio, Wandia, Mwikali, Musyoka, Syombua among others. Cousin and step brother of many.
Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangement at Tumaini House, Nairobi and at his farm in Kapsokwony, Mt. Elgon sub-county. Fundraising will be held on Tuesday, 23 May, 2017 at Professional Centre Nairobi from Spm.The cortege leaves Cherengany Nursing home on Thursday, 25 May, 20 17 for his rural home. Burial will be held on Friday, 26 May, 2017 at his farm in Kapsokwony, Mt. Elgon Sub-county.
