It is indeed with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved dad Mr Gregory Maingi Mutisya (1932-2016).

He was united in holy matrimony to Mary Serah Kanini. Son of the late Joseph Mutisya and the late Ann Koki. Brother of Paul Mutwi (Athletics Kenya), Elizabeth Ivalo, Teresia Kiio, Patricia Ndulu, Sabina Mutuku, P. Marrieta Nzomo. Father of Emma Nthiwa, Peter Mbai, Mary Kavoo, Milcah Mutunga, Susan Tumbo, Joseph Mutisya, Jacinta Mulinge, Martin Mutuku, Stephen Mwanzia, Raphael Kivando and Lucia Kaveke. Father-in-law of Patrick Nthiwa, Anthony Kavoo, Anthony Mutunga, Alex Tumbo, Justus Mulinge, Catherine, Phylis, Lucy, Jackline and Damaris. Our late dad was blessed with 19 grandchildren.

He served in the ministry as a chairman in Katheka Catholic Church, Masii Parish. The devoted friends to the family members will meet at the deceased’s home in Katheka village and in Garden Square Nairobi for funeral arrangements. There will be a mini-Harambee scheduled to take place at Garden Square on Thursday 22nd December 2016.

The cortege is scheduled to leave Montezuma Funeral Home in Machakos on 23rd December 2016 at 7:30 am for burial thereafter in his native home.

For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens (2 Corinthians 5:1).

Mother-in-law of Lucy Nyambura Njuguna, the late Emily Wambui Maina, Phoebe Wanjiru King’ori, Lucy Wanjugu Gichukia and Julianah Wambui Kihara. Sister of Rtd. Rev. Daughter in law of Mr Saphan Ogayo and Peninah Awino, Micah Ogayo, late Damaris Ogayo,Truphena Osiemo, late Jackton Ogayo, late Filgona Ogayo, John Ogayo, Elly Ogayo, Pastor Benson Ogayo, Jerim Ogayo and Kennedy Ogayo of Rangwe, Homa Bay County.
