Gregory Maingi Mutisya

1932-2016

It is indeed with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved dad Mr Gregory Maingi Mutisya (1932-2016).

He was united in holy matrimony to Mary Serah Kanini. Son of the late Joseph Mutisya and the late Ann Koki. Brother of Paul Mutwi (Athletics Kenya), Elizabeth Ivalo, Teresia Kiio, Patricia Ndulu, Sabina Mutuku, P. Marrieta Nzomo. Father of Emma Nthiwa, Peter Mbai, Mary Kavoo, Milcah Mutunga, Susan Tumbo, Joseph Mutisya, Jacinta Mulinge, Martin Mutuku, Stephen Mwanzia, Raphael Kivando and Lucia Kaveke. Father-in-law of Patrick Nthiwa, Anthony Kavoo, Anthony Mutunga, Alex Tumbo, Justus Mulinge, Catherine, Phylis, Lucy, Jackline and Damaris. Our late dad was blessed with 19 grandchildren.

He served in the ministry as a chairman in Katheka Catholic Church, Masii Parish. The devoted friends to the family members will meet at the deceased’s home in Katheka village and in Garden Square Nairobi for funeral arrangements. There will be a mini-Harambee scheduled to take place at Garden Square on Thursday 22nd December 2016.

The cortege is scheduled to leave Montezuma Funeral Home in Machakos on 23rd December 2016 at 7:30 am for burial thereafter in his native home.

For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens (2 Corinthians 5:1).

It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved Jediel Mwirigi King’aruru of Kithaene Village which occurred on 18/12/2016.

Son of the late M’Inoti and Phylis Muthoni. Loving husband of Catherine Mwirigi. Brother of the late Faith Nkuene, Josphine Mpaka, and Lucy Kaburo. Son-in-law of Henry and Martha Ndegwa. Loving Dad of Gaceri and Murungi, Mwenda and Gakii, Gitonga and Kangai, Koome and Nkirote, Wanja and Mongare, Wendy and Gitau, the late Kinanu, Makena, Mawira and Muthoni. Brother-in-law of the late Juliet, Simon, Silvia, the late Mbae, the late Jotham and Kathendu. Grandfather and Great grandfather of many. Friends and relatives are meeting daily from 19th Dec 2016 at Antonios Restaurant, Kaunda Street, opposite Cardinal Otunga Plaza from 5.30pm and at his home at Kithaene village, Upper Chure, Nkubu, Meru.

Father of Nicholas Nzangi (DPL Natrobi), Peter Mweu (Principal Masaani Secondary School), Boniface Vutu (Daystar Kiusyani), Angeline Mwende (Phamacist Thika level 5 Hospital), Michael Muendo (Daystar Kamutei), Benard Kyalo (KDF), Pius Mwanzia (Daystar Kwavonza)leremiah Mutunga (Daystar Wamunyu), Darius Mutinda (Daystar Kyua) and Annastacia Mwikali (Daystar Ikalaasa). Brother of Naomi Kamene, Julius Kangethe, Mwekulu Ndaka and Patrick Katiwa. In-law of Mutena, Musiva, the late Lucia Ngile, Kanyele Mutie, Peter Kitengu Musiva, Kasavi Musiva the late Kakutu Musiva. Wife of James Muchemi Njuguna. Daughter of the late Muruhiu Gichuki and the late Njeri Muruhiu. Mother of Daniel Njuguna Kabanga (Nrb), Nancy Nyeri Kabanga, David Maina Kabanga (Thika), Duncan King’ori Muchemi (Msa), Samuel Gichuki Muchemi (Msa) and Gerald Kihara Muchemi (Msa). Mother-in-law of Lucy Nyambura Njuguna, the late Emily Wambui Maina, Phoebe Wanjiru King’ori, Lucy Wanjugu Gichukia and Julianah Wambui Kihara. Sister of Rtd. Rev. Samuel Gichuki Muruhiu, the late Naomi Wanjiru Muruhiu and the late Daniel Githinji. Daughter in law of Mr Saphan Ogayo and Peninah Awino, Micah Ogayo, late Damaris Ogayo,Truphena Osiemo, late Jackton Ogayo, late Filgona Ogayo, John Ogayo, Elly Ogayo, Pastor Benson Ogayo, Jerim Ogayo and Kennedy Ogayo of Rangwe, Homa Bay County. We the family of Mr and Mrs Wangai Nyuthe wish to thank God for the life of our beloved son, the late Michael Ndirangu Wangai. Many people, groups and organisations stood with and supported us throughout the entire difficult period. We request you to accept our heartfelt gratitude. The team of well wishers in South Africa included Michael’s friends, Kimani’s family, Mr and Mrs Mbugua, Jane Kimathi, Nancy Gachungwa, Judy Nioroge, Matu’s family and Monash University. We also appreciate friends and relatives in Kenya and abroad, particularly UK, Canada and Australia among others. All your generous contributions, in cash and kind, were warmly received.
