Loving husband of Maryann Mwenja, and devoted father of John, Andrew, Joram, Nathan, Rebekah, Moses and the late Michael Mahalang’anga. Brother of the late Salome Wafula, the late Lydia Mwinamo, the late Ruth Sachida, Agnes Siakilo, Milcher Muhuyi, Elizabeth Vakhoya, Stephen Khisa and the late Peter Mwombe. Brother-in-law of the late Peter Wafula, John Mwinamo, William Barasa, Mulati Welamondi, Fridah Khisa, Rose Mwombe, the late Anthony Mwenja, Terry Kairu, the late Peter Muchai, James Mwenja, George Mwenja, Stephen Macharia and Caroline Ndirangu. A harambee will be held on Tuesday 7th March 2017 from 5.30pm at Railways Club, Nairobi.

The remains will leave Arizona USA on 7th March 2017 for repatriation to his home in Maturu Village, Kakamega County, where the burial service will be held on Saturday 18th March 2017.

Son of the late Mzee James Nyang’oma Ogwang’ and the late Mama Mariam Achieng Nyang’oma of Uyoma -South Ndigwa Sub-location. Son-in-law of the late Mzee Isaac Otieno and Mama Veronicah Achieng’ Abonyo of Uholo village. Brother of Ag. Bishop Joseph Paul Nyang’oma, Prof. Stephen Odundo, Benjamin Obunga, Rashid Otieno, Alice Ongoro, Silpher Achieng’, and Dorcus Amollo, among others. He was a retired lecturer in Commerce and Business Administration at the University of Nairobi. Son of the late Erastus Chege Mbugua and the late Damaris Nyambura Mbugua. Brother of Naomi Wanjiku and Michael Ngugi. Beloved husband of Susan Elizabeth Mbugua, and loving father of Elizabeth Nyambura Mbugua, Naomi Wanjiku Dillard, MaryEllen Njambi McMellion, Margaret Muthoni Mbugua and Mbugua Robert Chege. Dear grandfather of Tevin Wanyoike, Alexandria Dillard, Jamie Dillard, Eli McMellion, Elouise Chege and Mbugua Benson Chege.
