It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden demise of Lalita (Lata) Dilip Raicha of Kisumu, Kenya on Monday 17th May 2021 in Nairobi.

Wife to Dilip (Max) Raicha of Raicha’s Electro services Ltd, Kisumu. Mother to Anand Raicha (Australia). Mother-in-law to Bhamini Anand Raicha. Grandmother to Vaani and Kaavi Raicha.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, 20th May 2021. The cortege will leave the Raicha residence, Lodwar Road at 11:30am. The funeral will take place at the Hindu Crematorium Kisumu at 12noon.

He was a Beloved Husband to Josphine Wanjiru Njau (Gacega) of Nderi Village in Kiambu County.

Adored Father to Jane Wangari (Thogoto PUEA), The Late Susan Wanjira,Catherine Wanini (Immaculate Hospital), Timothy Gathu (PCEA JKMC) and Elizabeth Wanza (Westlands), Lucy Wambui (KK Security) and Emmanuel Musembi (Sasini PLC), Esther Wagagu (KOEI Africa) and George Njoroge (Britam).

Son of the late Reuben Gathu Kariuki and Susanah Wanjira Gathu. He was brother to The Late Norman Kariuki, Esther Wagagu, Jacinta Wamaca, Catherine Wanini, Nicholas Mwai, Lillian Wanjiku, Ann Wambui, Elizabeth Wanjiru.

Grandfather to Alvin and others, Uncle and Cousin to many.

The cortege leaves the PCEA Kikuyu Hospital Mortuary on 21st May 2021 at 9am for the funeral service at PCEA Joshua Kiongo Memorial Church in Nderi and thereafter burial at his home in Nderi village, Sigona sub-location, Kikuyu, Kiambu County.

The Lord Gave us Joshua and He has Taken him back, in his hands, he rests. In our hearts he will remain forever. Amen

She was the loving daughter to Mr and Mrs Simon Gitobu Ithiria of Jeremy Gitobu Associates. Forever loving Sister to Evans Ithiria of Evidence Action Inc and Frankline Mwenda. Step sister to Nicholas Mwiti, Evan Mugambi and Josephine Kagwiria. Sister in-law to Agnes Kagendo and Dorothy Nkatha of Kaarani   Secondary School. Loving mother of the late Owen Munene. She was an aunt and cousin to many.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary on Saturday 22nd May, 2021, at 5.00 AM for a funeral service at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Riiji Parish of Meru County. Thereafter, the burial will be at her parents home in Katheri, Kaarene Village.

The cortege will leave Jumuia Kaimosi Morgue on Friday 21st May, 2021.

The burial will be on Saturday 22nd May, 2021, at their home in Makuchi (Kaimosi).

Father-in-law to Tabitha Wanjiku (SBM Bank) and Davis Kung’u (ALS). Brother to the late Farida Njoki, Lucy Bactochi, Gakuru, Aisha, Ngure, Wanjiku, the late Jasmine and the late Macharia.

Adoring grandfather to Blessing, Sifa and Judah. Brother-in-law to William, the late Shad, Geoffrey, the late Denkid, The Muigai’s (Roasters),The Njiba’s (Mombasa), The Kayanda’s (Mombasa),The Banda’s (Zambia), The Melton’s (USA).

Uncle, cousin, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and mentor to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his residence in South B Nairobi for funeral arrangements.

There will be a funeral service at CITAM Valley Road on Monday 24th of May 2021 at 10am and the burial ceremony thereafter at Langata cemetery.

Mother-in-law of Mwaniki Kirika (Thika), Lucy Wambui (USA), Beatrice Wanjeri, Peter Manda (Nairobi), Arthur James Gichuhi (Tana Water Works Development Agency – Nyeri), Susan Waithira and Mercy Muthoni. Step-mother and Aunt to many.

There will be a memorial service on Friday 21st May, 2021, at ACK St. Andrews Cathedral – Thika, starting at 2.00pm. The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home – Kabati on Wednesday, 26/05/2021, at 7.00am followed by a funeral service at ACK St. James Church – Kanyenya-ini, starting at 11.00am, thereafter, interment at her home in Kanyenya-ini Village, Kangema in Murang’a County.

Father in-law to; Caroline, Sarah, Silvia and Mercy.

Grandfather to; Ivy, Calvin, Ivana, Antonio, Claudio, Rehema, Blessings, Nduta, Ethan, Nathan, Adoncia, Edelshievel and Wangari. Brother to the late Wanjiku and Muthoni, Wakarindi Muchire, Sister Mathew, the late Wanjiku Mugambi, Aureria Gakuru and Wairun Wanjau,Wakarindi Muchiri and Waithiegeni. He was uncle to Kigoi, Harrison, Gerald, Karai, Maina, Mwangi, Ngonyo, Muringi and many others.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home-Thika Road on Saturday 22nd May 2021 at 8AM and proceeds to Nyeri, Gikondi, Nyakahuho (opposite Nyakahuho Primary) at 10AM where he will be laid to rest.
