Wife of the late Ben Wanakacha Wekesa.

Mother of Dr Zacharia Samita (Kenyatta University), Isaac Simiyu (Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital), Berita Emma Nelima (Ndivisi), Dina Kibira (Wandabwa School), Catherine Gor (Hawinga School), Bramwell Kasaya (Windle International) and Mary Esta Okora (Bishop Abiero Shauri Moyo school).

Mother-in-law to Beatrice Samita, Mary Simiyu, Absalom Kibira, Edwin Gor, Caroline Kasaya and Dickens Okora.

She has left behind 19 grandchildren: Khasoha Samita, Murunga Samita, Tabitha Khayumbi, Levi Wanakacha, Sylvia Blessing, David Wekesa, Joy Nakhumicha, Esther Nakhumicha, Courage Liguta, Abundance Agesa, Emmanuel Joel Sagra, Ben Carson Ngule, James Fallon Samita, Elrad Joshua Murunga, Lisa Neema Achungo, Catherine Faith Achieng, Queen Elizabeth Atieno, Beryl Akinyi and Caleb Lawrence Ochieng’.

The cortege leaves MTRH, Eldoret funeral home on Friday, May 21st 2021 at noon for a memorial service at Salvation Army Siyilila Corps in Webuye at 2pm.

Her final celebration service and interment will be on Saturday, May 22nd 2021 at 8am at her home in Siyilila village, Webuye – Bungoma County.

Sister of the late Baskaria, the late Jeremiah, Mary, Abisiba, Yusubera, Lucia, the late Maruanga, the late Kerubo, the late Ogechi, the late Angasa, the late Kabaka and the late Makura.

Mourners will assemble at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) mortuary on Sunday 23rd May 2021 for prayers at her Bomocha home. The cortege leaves the mortuary on Monday 24th May 2021 for prayers at Santa Primary School grounds, Kenyenya Sub County and burial on the same day.

Mother of Edwin Miregwa, Bernard Miregwa, Linet Miregwa and Carol Miregwa. Mother-in-law of Priscilla Macharia. Grandmother of Nicholas Ezra Miregwa, Avory Nyawira, Rampurie Sam Miregwa and Candice Mumbi Miregwa.

Sister of Lameck Ogori, Nyanchama Ogori, Samson Ogori, Mary Ogori, Martha Ogori, Brown Ogori, Noah Ogori, Janet Ogori and Sarah Ogori. Sister-in-law of the late James Nyamweya, the late Kwamboka Nyasimi, the late Ngechemba Florence, Margaret Kerubo, the late Pamela Moraa, Daniel Nyambega, Grace Nyachieo Mokune, Amos Nyachieo Orina, not forgetting Sifa Abuga, Isabella Nyauma, Verna Barake and Anita Makori.

The last born son of the late Elijah Njoroge Gachuru and the late Ruth Wanjiku. Brother of the late Grishon Mburu Gachuru and Margaret Mugure. He leaves behind his wife, Mary Mwangi and 3 children, Ppag, Emmy and Faith.

Friends, colleagues and family are meeting daily at Professor’s residence; next to CITAM, along the Nakuru – Nairobi Highway, from 5.00pm, for prayers and funeral arrangements.

A loving husband of Mama Maria Awuor Onyango and Mama Mary Alice Onyango and a dear father to George Ogode Onyango, formerly of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nairobi, Monica Achieng’ Ogada of Studbook, Nakuru, Dr. Peter Sewe Onyango of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital, Kisumu, William Omondi Onyango of Africa Reinsurance, Nairobi and Ms. Caroline Adhiambo Onyango of Nairobi.

Father-in-law to Margaret A. Ogode, Pamela A Sewe, Ruth A. Sewe, Christine A Omondi and Walter Ogada.
