Esther Chepkosgei

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Esther Chepkosgei, a dedicated employee of the State Department of Lands and Physical Planning which occurred on 9th April 2026 while undergoing treatment at Nairobi West Hospital.

Esther was the beloved wife of the late Henry Kirui, a loving mother of Daisy Chelang’at, Collins Ng’etich, and Dennis Kibet, and a darling grandmother of Rashid Ndirangu and Abdallah Kiprotich.

She was a cherished daughter of the late Joseph Langat and Mary Langat, and a lovely daughter-in-law of Zeddy Chesimet.

She was a dear sister of Margaret, Emily, the late Stella, Michael, Duncan, and Victor. Stepsister of Sarah, late Alice, Lucio, Joyce, Rosaline, Alfred, and Gladys.

She was a sister-in-law of Lily, Philemon, Daniel, Joan, Joyce, Lincoln, Betty, Marion and Judy.

She will be remembered as a devoted family member and friend whose kindness, strength, and warmth touched the lives of many.

The cortege leaves Montezuma on 23rd for an overnight vigil and burial will take place on 24th April 2026 at ChemalukVillage, Kapkembu Location, Njoro Sub-County, Nakuru County. Chepkosgei.
