Evans Kyalo Mutemi

11th October 1984 — 11th July 2026

It is with great sorrow that we announce the untimely death of Evans Kyalo Mutemi (Chalo) following a tragic road accident at Riara University footbridge along Mbagathi Way, Nairobi, on 11th July 2026, at the age of 41.

The deceased leaves behind his wife Martha Mwende and children Trevor Mutemi and Daina Mutei.

He was a son of Patrick Sau and Dorcas Daina.

He was grandson of the late Sau Mwaniki and Paulina Syumiti, the late Munyambu Mbuti and late Beatrice Kawila.

He was brother of Joy Ndanu and Auxilia Mawia. He was uncle of David, Mohammed, Brielle and many more.

He was son in law of Daniel Makunyi and the late Agnes Makunyi and brother in law of Lena and Monica. He was nephew of Muthili, Munyoki, the late Mwanziu, Kyambi, Matei, Muithya, Peter, Maluki, Musili, Syengo, Maria, Lena, Sala, Mbuti and many more.

Also mourning this great loss are his cousins, Mwendwa, Muli, Mutati, Kioko, Vundi, Mark, Kalunge, Ngumbau, Muatha, Mueni, Sammy and Kyalo Musyimi and many others whose lives were enriched by his kindness, generosity, and enduring presence.

The family further acknowledges the love and support of extended relatives, close family friends, neighbours, colleagues, and members of the community all of whom join in mourning the loss of a life well lived.

There will be a mini-fundraiser at All Saints Cathedral on Wednesday 22nd July 2026 at bpi-ft The memorial service will be held on Thursday 23rd July 2026 at Hope Church Lavington, followed by the burial which will be at Nganga lmwe village, Mwingi on Saturday 25th July 2026. Family, friends, end all whose lives were touched by Kyalo are respectfully invited to attend.
