Peter Chege Keru

It is with humble acceptance of God we announce the passing of Peter Chege Keru which occurred on 13th July 2026.

He was beloved husband of Mary Wairirnu. Loving father of Nephat Mwangi (Prof), Mercy Njeri, Jane Muthoni, Purity Wanjiku, Nancy Wanjiru, Ferista Waithira, Kennedy Macharia and James.

He was son of the late Keru Karnau and the late Njeri Kern. Son in law of the late Nephat Mwangi and the late Jane Muthoni. Brother of the late Wanjiku, the late Warijiru, the late Mwangi Kern, Esther John Kiragu and the late Gilbert Mucheke. Peter was brother in law of Nancy, Harrison, Hellen, Mercy Millicent and Josephine.

He was grandfather of Owen, Levis, Telvin, Daisy Peter, Sharleen, Willian, Digne, Tamara, Ken, Elvis, Brandon, Loren and Hudson.

Family and Friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his home Ihigaini village Kangema.

The cortege leaves Kangema Hospital Mortuary on Wednesday 22nd July 2026 for ‘funeral Mass at Ihigaini Village, Muringaini Location, Kangema Muranga County.
