Jimmy Folonja Luworo Kimaro

It is with profound sorrow and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Jimmy Folonja Luworo Kimaro of the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), who departed this life on 20th July 2026 after a short illness.

Jimmy was the beloved husband of Emily Kutto and a devoted father of Shawn, Kedi, and Masenga.

He was the cherished son of the late James Vincent Kimaro and Matilda Soko Kimaro, and a loving brother of Elizabeth Ndambuki and Dorothy (Dottie) Odula.

He was he son-in-law of the late Francis Chirongo Kutto, Patience Rehema Kutto, and the late Cecilia Mjeni Kutto. Jimmy was also a treasured brother-in-law of Josphat Ndambuki, George Jdula, the late Linah Mbeyu, Benedict Nyanje, Rosemary (wekwe, Raymond Dena, Dennis Kutto, Lucy Luvuno, Nancy Izalambi, Julianna Nzadze, Victoria Zidi, Anthony Tsuma, and James Gereza. He will also be dearly remembered as beloved nephew, uncle, cousin, colleague, and friend to many whose lives he touched with his kindness, humility, and unwavering faith.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Mombasa and at his parents’ home in Godoni, Kwale County.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, 27th July 2026, at Bamburi Baptist Church in Bamburi.

The Funeral service and Burial will take place on Tuesday, 28th July 2026, t the Kimaro family residence in Godoni, Kwale County.
