It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely demise of Joyce Wangui Gathiru of Gititu Aguthi Location, Nyeri County, which occurred on 26th Feb 2017after a short illness at Consolata Hospital, Mathari, Nyeri. Wife of the late Joseph Gathiru Kiguoya. Mother of Patrick Gathiru Nyeri, Wilson Muteru (Nairobi), Grace Wambugi (Nakuru), Francis Wambugu of Kenya Police, Samuel Mania (Nyeri), David Kariithi (NIS), Cyrus Theuri (Nairobi), the late Bernard Kariuki, Harun Wairagu (2NK), Moses Wamani (Nakuru) and Mary Gathiru (DMI Centre Nairobi). Mother-in-law of Jennifer Mwangi, Maria Muteru, Arthur Wambugi (Nakuru), the late Catherine Wambugu, Esther Maina (DCs office Nyeri), Lydiah Kariithi, Lucy Theuri, Lily Wairagu and Lydia Wamani. Grandmother of 34 children and great grandmother of many.

Relative and friends are meeting at Emmaccra Hotel Nairobi, Village Inn Nakuru and at her Gititu home.

The cortege leaves St Micheal Funeral Parlour Mathari Hospital on 3rd March 2017at 8am. The funeral service will be at ACK St John Aguthi Church, Aguthi Parish at 11am followed by burial at her Gititu home.
