Njoki Njoroge Njehu

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved Njoki Njoroge Njehu, who passed away peacefully on 17th July 2026.

Ms. Njehu is the Founder and Executive Director of Daughters of Mumbi Global Resource Center. She was an extraordinary woman whose life was defined by courage, compassion, humility and unwavering commitment to justice, equality and dignity of all people – at the community level, nationally, on the continent and globally.

She was the beloved wife of the late Soren Ambrose.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Mr Francis Njehu Njoroge and Mrs Lillian Wanjiru Njehu. She was the loving sister of Wanja Njehu, Peter Njoroge Njehu, Ciiru Njehu, Rose Mbogo and Josphat Mbogo, Sarah Chege and Francis Chege.

She was a doting Tata and Cucu to many, and a treasured relative, friend, and colleague whose kindness, generosity, and love touched the lives of all who knew her.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at: The Njehu Family Home, Rukubi Village, Gitaru Ward, Kabete Kiambu County and her residence in Kileleshwa, Nairobi.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home (Mbagathi Road) on Tuesday, 28th July 2026 at 8:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at All Saints Rukubi Parish, commencing at 11:00 a.m. Thereafter, she will be laid to rest at the Njehu Family Home, Rukubi (Maim Road), Gitaru Ward, Kabete – Kiambu County.

In God’s hands you rest, and in our heartsyou will live forever. Rest in eternal peace, dear Njoki. Until we meet again.
