William Macharia Murage

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of William Macharia Murage, which occurred on 10th June 2026 after a courageous battle with illness.

Son of the late Murage Macharia and the late Wakini Kagema. Brother of the late Kagema Murage and James Gakuru Murage..

Beloved husband of Nancy Nyaguthii Macharia.

Son in-law of the late Hiram Wachira and Esther Wanjiku Wachira.

Loving father of Catherine Macharia, Lilian and Harrison Mugo, Anthony Murage Macharia, Joan and Dennis Kiarie, and Diana Macharia.

He was grandfather of Vikie, Adrian, Allen, Jasmine, Kelly, Dwayne, Yvonne, Adam and Faith. He was a cherished relative, friend, mentor, and colleague to many.

William was a distinguished Mechanical Engineer whose career spanned several decades, serving at Kenya Canners, KCC, Farmers Choice, and later as the founder of Liselund Mechanical Services. He was a devoted Christian and active member of the PCEA Kahawa West church, known for his generosity, leadership, and unwavering commitment to family and community.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his home in PCEA Kahawa West Parish from 6:30PM.

The cortege leaves KU Refferal Funeral Home on Friday 19th June 2026 at 06:30AM home for a service in PCEA Ruguru parish Kabiruini, Ruguru Ward, Mathira, Nyeri County.
