It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Eng Eliakim Washington Olweny. Land surveyor , Managing Director of Olweny and Associates , Director General of Evans Sunrise Medical Centre on the 28th of November 2016 following months of a brave fight with cancer.

Son of the late John Odawa and Mama Turfosa of Sikinga, Kondiek, Ukwala.

Beloved husband of Norah Olweny and Ann Wanjiru. Father of Nancy (Embu), Naomi (Judiciary – Ogemebo), Bilha (Nakuru), Dorcas (Australia), Lavender Olweny (Nakuru), Linda Olweny (Advocate Nairobi), Dr Irene Olweny (Kisumu), Lydia Olweny (Nairobi) and Kevin Olweny (the Foothills School).

The cortege leaves Evans Sunrise Medical Centre on Friday 20th January 2017 at 8.30am for the final journey to his home in Sikinga, Ukwala for a funeral service at St Joseph’s Sikinga and later an overnight vigil at his home.

The internment will be held on Saturday 21st January 2017.

Magdalene Wambui Njoroge, 83, wife of the late Joseph Gichinga Njoroge, passed away peacefully surrounded by members of her family on Monday, January 16th 2017 after several years of illness. She was the mother of the late Agatha and John, mother-in-law of the late J B Maina and late Paul Nginya Kimani Titi; sister of the late Brigitta Nyanjau Gateri and the late Theresia Njoki Kimani; of brother Ambrose Kiiru; sister-in-law of the late Pascal Kimani Titi.
