We regret to announce the passing on of Peter Kiptanui Chemwor, Managing Director of Factual Films Kenya Ltd on Tuesday 21st February 2017. He was son of the late Kipsoini Chemwor and the late Milca Jebande Chemwor. Father of the late Margaret, Mary, Rosebela, Marsha, Caroline, Cynthia, Lucy, Maria, Doreen, Emmanuel, Paul, Daniel, Stephen, Kimutai, Chebet, Fatum and Abraham. Brother of Maria Ronoh, Laban Chemwor, Rhoda Tarus, Kefa Chemwor, John Kipnyango, Elizabeth Ndeto and Noah Chepren. Grandfather of 32 children, great grandfather of 19 children and uncle of many.

Meetings are being held daily at his house on Five Star Road, South C, from 5pm. From Tuesday 28th February to Thursday 2nd March, meetings will also be held at the All Saints Cathedral from 5pm.

A requiem mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in South B on Thursday 2nd March at 12 noon. The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on Friday, 3rd March 2017.

The burial will be at his home in Kapsengere, Nandi County on Saturday 4th March 2017.

Loving wife of the Retired Rev Simon N Githinji of the PCEA Nairobi North Presbytery. Caring mother of Eric Githinji, Miriam Mwihaki and Catherine Nasimiyu.

She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Khulokoma and Mama Hanna Nasimiyu of Mikuva Village – Webuye, Bungoma County. She is the daughter in law of the late Mzee Githinji Kimata and the late Hannah Wamuyu of Kagumo – Othaya, Nyeri County. Sister of Joash Mutali, Evelyne Naliaka, Joseph Mutoro, Marita Munyereti, Simon Robora, Florence Nekesa and Emily Khayanga.

Mother in law of Ezra Kuhunya and Elizabeth Githinji. Sister in law of the late Hannah Nyakibia, late Grace Waitima Mugo, late James Kinyua, late Moses Mwangi and Mary Wambui Muya. Aunt of Janet Namukuru, Sapaya Mutali, Enosi Yohana, Wanyonyi Chami, Sisunyo Wanjala among others. Grandmother of Kylie Wanjiru, Hylie Nanjala and Zuri Nanjala.

Daily meetings are being held from 5pm at Jirani Farm, Njoro, and the Lutheran Church next to St Andrews Church.

PCEA Nairobi North Presbytery and Kasarani Parish meets Thursday to Saturday at PCEA Kasarani Church at 5pm. There will be a memorial service on Sunday 26th February 2017 from 3pm at PCEA Kiambu town church and PCEA Kasarani Church.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home, Nakuru, on Tuesday 28th February2017 at 9m followed by a funeral service at Njoro Golf Club at 11am. Burial will be at Rev Simon Githinji’s Jirani Farm the same day.

Co-wife of Esther Koskei. Step mother of John Cheruiyot of Eldoret, Jane Sol of Kampala, Litein, Stanley Lang’at of Eldoret, Judith of Ndanai and Amos Cheruiyot of Londiani. Sister of the late Taplilei, the late John Cheruiyot, Arap Bar-Ng’oror, the late Richard Cheruiyot, Taprandich of Kimugul, the late William and Stephen Koech of Chagoror among others. Mother-in-law of Grace, Lily, Ruth, Caroline and Caro, Rosemary and Nancy.

She leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The cortege leaves Lazarus Funeral Home on Friday 24th February at 12 noon to her home United Sol Farm, Londiani.

Burial ceremony will be held on Saturday 25th February at her home.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the promotion to glory of Anne Wangari Kinyenje. A mother, a sister, a grandmother, an aunt and a friend to many, who passed away after a long illness on January 24, 2017 at Suhurbar Hospital, MD. USA. Anne was daughter to the late Alex Kanyi Karuga and the late Emily Wanjiku Kanyi. Wife of the late Chief Inspector Benard Kinyenje Kimani; Mother to Lucy Nyambura, the late Charles Kimani, Christine Wanjiku, Esther Waithera and Alex Kanyi. She was mother in law to Alice Kimani, Ohed Kariuki, Thomas Opiyo and Jane Kanyi. Grandmother to Terry, Bernard, Nikita, Muthoni, Kareem, Ann-Loise, Angie, and Gianna. Sister to Josphat Karuga, Charles Mwangi, Margaret Ng’endo Mukoma, Teresia Wambui Mburu, Jane Muthoni Kariuki, Joseph Hinga, Joseph Kambo, Boniface Mugo, John Kamuga, Mary Goretti Munene. Sister in law to John Githinji, Samuel Mwithukia, George Kimonyi and the late Pauline Waithera. Following her wishes, Anne Wangari Kinyenje will journey back to Kenya where she will be laid to rest.

There will be a prayer meeting for friends and family at All Saints Cathedral on the 28th February 2017 at 5pm. The funeral mass will be held at the Holy Family Basilica on Thursday March 2nd 2017 at 10am and thereafter on the same day, the interment to be held at her farm in Kereita, (Githembe) Lari, in Kiambu County.

Beloved son of Dr John Simiyu Tabu (Senior Lecturer Moi University, Eldoret) & Balbina Mbone Simiyu (Kenya Technical Training College, Gigiri). Adored brother of Wilkister Simiyu (Kenya Seed Company), Mercy Naliaka (Catholic University of East Africa), Lucy Nelima (Moi Girls’ High School, Nairobi) and Godwin Tabu (Moi High School Kabarak). Brother in law of Daniel Were (DL Were & Were Company Advocates, Eldoret), Young uncle of Heri, Zawadi, Fanaka, Faith and Merkel. Grandson of the late Jackson Tabu and Peritah Nelima, Atanas lmbuka and late Lucia Matilani.
