Mother of the late Ombane, the late Peninah, Dorcas(Kenyerere Vilage) Morang’a Morekwa (DC and currently MOH), Rebecca (Nyamache D.C’s office) Miriam (Eguty Pry) Glady’s (Nyansakia Pry) and Everlyne (Turbo Hospital).

Mother-in-law of the late Mellen, Esther Morekwa (Arap Moi Pry), the late Ontomwa, the late Mong’eri, Charles Mwoma, Kennedy Anyona and Daniel Obuya, Sister of Kemunto, the late Nyanchama, the late Bosibori, the late Kwamboka, Onchong’a, Elizabeth and Mokeira. Daughter of the late Mr/Mrs M’Mwirebua M’Muga, wife of Japhet Bundi, Mother of the late Matumbi, Susan (DOD 78 Isiolo), Joyce (Unique Education Centre Kitengela), Agnes (Naari), Fredrick (Principal Ngaremara. Secondary School Isiolo), Kimathi (KPLC Meru). Sister of Salome, Elizabeth, M’Murithi, Rosaria, Kithinji, the late Benjamin and Muthuia. Mother-in-law of the late John, the late Nteere, Mwirigi, Jane and Fridah. Grandmother of 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was aunt and cousin of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her rural home in Nchoroiboro- Ruiri location. The cortege leaves Consolata Hospital Mortuary Nkubu on Tuesday 7/2/17 at 9.00 am for a church service at MCK St Peter’s Church Nchoroiboro followed by burial at her home.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden demise of Professor Peter Kabanya Mwaniki through a tragic road accident on 2nd February 2017. He was the Dean, School of Nursing at JKUAT.

Son of the late John. Mwangi Luka and Lilian Kabura John of Wanjengi village, Murang’a. Son-in-law of Virginia Njoki Mwangi of Gacharaigu village, Murang’a. Husband of Catherine Njeri Kabanya of KMTC Embu. Loving father of John Mwaniki of Matuu Level 4 Hospital, Martin Mwangi of Brookside Dairy and Joel Kimotho of Embu. Father-in-law of Faith Kaluki and grand-father of Peter Cuban Kabanya. Brother of the late Joel Kimotho, David Irungu, Julius Chege, Rosemary Wanjiru, Lincoln Kabanya, Catherine Muthoni and Kenneth Ndegwa.

Funeral preparation meetings are ongoing at his home in PIAI Embu; Norwich Union Towers Nairobi from 6pm and his rural home,Wanjengi, Murang’a.

The cortege leaves Gakwegori Funeral Home in Embu on Thursday 9th February 2017 at 7.30am. Funeral service will be held at ACK St. Stephen’s Church, Wanjengi Parish at 10.30am and later laid to rest at his rural home Wanjengi village, Murang’a.
