Appreciation

We the family of the late Penina Mumbi Kirongothi wish to express our deep heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all our relatives, friends, neighbours and well-wishers who came out in such a large numbers and provided overwhelming spiritual support, emotional support, encouragements, messages of condolence, material and financial support among other gestures of kindness shared with us during the demise of our loving mother.

Special thanks go to Mr. Simon Gicharu, Chairman Mt.Kenya University, Co-operative Bank Staff Led by the Managing Director and Chief Executive. It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mr. David Kinyua Muriuki who was working in Office of Attorney General, Nairobi. He died through tragic road accident along Northern Bypass on 22nd June 2017, Nairobi. Husband of Generosa Neema Blance, father of Joseph Alvin Muchiri. Son of Joseph Muriuki Kanoru andd Mary Wambui Muriuki. Brother of Caroline Wangari Muriuki and the late Levis wangi Muriuki.

Family and friends are meeting at his Kabaro village in Kirinyaga, Kahawa West (Swallow One Nairobi), and at Abbey Comfort Inn opposite Malindi Dishes along Gaborone Street starting at 5.00pm.

The cortege leaves Mt. Kenya funeral Home 5th July 2017. Service to be held at Kabaro Village, Thaita location.

It is with a humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing away of our dear mother on the 23rd of June, 2017.

Daughter of the late Gichuki Kiarie and the late Maria Wangari Gichuki. A loving wife of the late Peter Ngigi Muthee. Loving mother of Margaret Wangari (Embu Shepherd Academy), Martin Muthee (Businessman Limuru), Pastor John Gichuki Ngigi (SDA Nderi Parish), Madam Felistas Fatuma Wanjiku (Advocate Embu / Proprietor Embu Shepherd Academy), Pauline Wairimu (Embu), Francis Babu (Barclays Bank West End) and Hannah Wambui (Judiciary — Siakago). Mother-in-law of Jane Njeri Muthee, Grace Wambui Gichuki, Rose Njoki Babu and the late Polly Wangari. Sister of the late Felix Njenga, the late Geoffrey Mwaura, the late Monicah Wanjiru, the late Eliud Kaguangi, the late Wambui and the late Wallace Karanja. Step sister of Walter Karanja Gichuki, Josphat Njenga, Flora Wambui Mbugua Nyanja, Monica Njoki, Francis Mundia Gichuki, Margaret Wambui Kamau among others. Sister-in-law of Mwajuma Wanjiku Khan, the late Babu Khan, the late Fatuma, the late Khaji Khan, and the late Semu Khan. Grandmother and great grandmother of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at her home in Limuru near the Law Courts and at the residence of her daughter Fatuma Wanjiku in Embu, Muthatari opposite Embu Shepherd Academy.

The cortege leaves Gakwegori Funeral Home, Embu on Tuesday, 4th July 2017 at 5 am for the funeral service to be held at St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Church Kamirithu, Limuru. The service will start at 11am. Thereafter, she will be laid to rest at her farm in Limuru Town near Limuru Law Courts. She has left behind 7 children, 25 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mwalimu Ludovic Musabi Shikokoti which occurred on 2 I st June 2017 after a short illness.

He was the son of the Late John Shikokoti and the late Elizabeth M. Shikokoti. Loving husband of Odda Saisi Musabi of Webuye Hospital, and son-in-law of Mama na Baba Liyokho of Emusutswi — Bunyore. Loving father of Laurine Munyasa (Conte Design), MacLaurian Shikokoti (UoN), Charles Liyokho Shikokoti (Moi University), and grandfather of James Mille Shikokoti. Brother of Francis Matwang’a, Rose Mmbone, Henry Shikokoti (formerly AFC), Helemina Llanziva (formerly Chief Principal, Eregi Girls), Patrick Lumumba, Mary Shikokoti, the Late Beatrice Isiji, and Hedwig Shikokoti.

Brother-in-law of Stephen Mwabishi, Meshack Ilanziva (former TSC Commissioner), Florence Oginda (KENGEN), Rita Atsango (Principal, Malinya Girls), among others. Nephew of the Late Joseph Nyapala Matwang’a Lusambili of Bwitsende, Mama Maria Atsangalala, among others. Uncle of Crispine Shilwatso (ERC), Vincent Afwayi, Marion Isiji, Kelvin Muhatia, Mercy Branis Munyasa (UoN), Ignatius Shisumu, Lina Shilwatso, Sheila Mwabishi, Susan Munyasa (Chamakanga GSS), Nicholas Kijuba (ACC Kisumu), Sylvia Matwang’a, among others. Cousin of Benedict Matwang’a,Anjeline Agesa, Leonida Aselelwa, Fr. Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Makhokho village, Makhokho location, Kakamega South Sub-County. The body will be removed from Kaimosi Jumuia Mortuary on 29/06/207 at 9.00am. There will be a church service at his home on Friday, 30/06/2017 starting at 10.00am. Burial will take place on Saturday, 01/07/2017 at his home in Makhokho village.

The cortege leaves Machakos funeral home on Saturday 1st July, 2017 at 8.00 am followed by funeral service at his home in Mango Location

Loving mother to Glandstone Githogori, Peter Nderitu,Wilson Mariu, Susan Wambui, Francis Wambugu, Christopher Ndegwa (Kerugoya) and the late Esther Muthoni. Step-mother to Moses Mbau and Reagan Muchemi Gitahi (Nairobi). Grandmother to Samuel Gitahi, Gitahi Miiri, Gitahi Kamindo, Charles Gitahi (Nanyuki —Kalalu & KPC Kiganjo-Nyeri) and many others.

The cortege leaves Mweiga Mission Hospital Mortuary on Saturday 1st July, 2017 at 8.30am and thereafter Mass and burial starting at 11.00am at her home in Biricha village, Gatarakwa Location, Kieni East Constituency, Nyeri County.

Third Anniversary

Dear dad, its now Three years since you left us.

It was difficult and sorrowful when you departed and it’s been tough and lonely having to carry on without you.Your loving wife, sons, daughters, in-laws, grandchildren, friends and relatives forever miss you.

Its 8 years since you departed from us suddenly and too soon to eternity. The life we shared with you is still fresh in our memories.

Your life was a blessing, your love and family values are still a source of strength. Dan we thank for the joy brought to us.

Days, weeks, month have turned into one year since you departed from us. We the Gichohi’s family would like to thank the Almighty God for enabling to cope with your departure.

The pain of your absence has been heavy but God remains our control and strength.

The cortege leaves Star Mortuary Kisumu on Friday 7th July 2017 at 12 noon for a funeral service at the home Church – St Luke Church,Arombo Parish at 2pm. The burial will take place on Saturday 8th July 2017 at her home in Kano-Kabonyo, Kapiyo Sub-location,Arombo School.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Patrick Musili Masai of St.Teresa Small Christian Community, St.Valentine Choir and Catholic Men Association of Shrine of Mary Help of Christians Don Bosco upperhill. He passed-on on Tuesday 20th June 2017 after a long illness. Son of the late Masai Kunuvwa and the late Esther Nzambi. Brother of Syengo, Christine, Kavutha, Veronica and Ngina Masai. He leaves behind his wife Teresia and three young adults; John, Lucy and Micheal active members of the Youth Group at Don Bosco Parish.

Friends and relatives are meeting at Tumaini House sixth floor daily.The main harambee will be on Thursday 29th June 2017 from 6pm for prayers and funeral arrangements. There will be a requim mass on Friday 30th june 2017 at Don Bosco upperhill church at 2.00pm.The burial will be on saturday 1st July 2017 in his rural home Kyangwithya West Sub Location, Kyamathyaka village, Kitui County.
