It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely death of Mr Henry Onam which occurred on 24th January 2017 in Nairobi.

Husband of Wilfrida Onam. Son of the late Mzee Odanga Pumbe. Father of the late Robert Oduor (Dawo), Tom Okinyi, Ezekiel (Kol) KRA, Samuel, Lynette Omondi (Gulf), Teresa Onam (Australia), Doris, Grace (UAE). Brother of the late Mwalimu Johnson Aluoch, Omollo Odanga, the late Margaret Onege, Sarah Atee and Hilda Auma.

A major fundraising to help offset medical bills and funeral expenses will be held on Tuesday 31st February 2017 at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, from 5.30pm. Kindly note to attend. Contributions may also be sent to Paybill No. 523755 Account Name: Henry Onam Funeral.

The cortege leaves Nairobi West Hospital at 6am on 9th February for transport and burial at Utajo Village, Rusinga East on 10th February 2017. A funeral service will be held at Utajo Anglican Church on 10th February 2017 before burial.

Pam’s Send-off

We celebrate the life of Pamella Muyoma Obessa formerly of Oriental Commercial Bank.

Pamella was born on 18th January 1972 and fondly known to family, friends and colleagues as Pam. Pam passed away on January 24th, 2017 after a short illness.

Beloved mother of Melvin Kwame Ogolla and Browlin Kala Ombongi. Daughter of Joram Obessa Onyando and Margaret Kaveza Onyando. Beloved sister to Tom Abwao Obessa, Mathew Obessa, Beatrice Nyabanda [Rwanda], Joyce Obessa-Dieyi [USA], the late Lydia Obessa and Sandra Obessa. Auntie of Angella, Tony, Lewis, Julie, Heidi, Aimee, Summer, Mannie, Malcolm, Marley, Alex, Ammy and Jasmine. Sister in-law of Cecilia Abwao, Moses Nyabanda, Priscilla Ogonyi, Mark Dieyi, Lillian Ogolla Achola, Joram Ogolla and Derek Wasike. Pam was a friend of many!

Friends have been converging at United Kenya Club Nairobi to console with the family. On Tuesday 31st January 2017 at 6.30pm there will be a final meeting for send off preparations. The cortege leaves Montezuma funeral home off Mbagathi Road on Friday 3rd February 2017 at 6am followed by memorial service and burial at her father’s home in Nyikendu (Migori County) Migori-Nyarongi Road off Migori highway on Saturday 4th 2017.

Son of Naomi Wanjiku Ndehi. Son in law of the late Kamanjira Mwaniki and Priscillah Njoki. Husband of Frashia Muthoni Mbuthia. Father of Stephen Mwangi, Evans Irungu, Samwel Ndehi, Naomi Wanjiku and Sandra Njoki. Father in law of Lucy Njeri, Purity Wambui, Josephine Wanjiru, George Kanyi and Raphael Kisembe. Grandfather of Shaleen, Hilda, Wanjiku, Mbuthia, Jimmy, Yvone, Mitchel, Gathoni, Mwangi, Wanjugu, Travis, Grace, Wendy and Cosmas. Brother of Samwel Ndehi, Rev Gabriel Maina Kamau, the late Joseph Chege, Julia Wambui and Nancy Wanjiru.

Family, friends and relatives are meeting at Magomano Hotel Nairobi and Tena Estate House No.454 daily at 6pm for prayers and funeral arrangements. The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Wednesday 1st February 2017 at 8am and thereafter funeral and burial service at his home in Gitura Village, Gatuya Location, Murarandia Division, Murang’a County.

Mother-in-law of Andrew Solomon and William Esiroyo. Sister-in-law of the late Brigadier Peter Kakenyi, the late Anna Mukonyo, Veronica Ndumi Kasango, Syowia Kasoja, the late John Marco Kakenyi, Brigid Mbatha Kakenyi, Lydia Kakenyi, Joseph Kakenyi, Faith Kakenyi among others. Family and friends are meeting at Garden Square on Tuesday 31st January and Wednesday, 1st February 2017 and at her residence in Miwani Machakos Town from 5pm. The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home Machakos on Friday 3rd February 2017 at 8am for the funeral services at Machakos Cathedral thereafter burial at Kathome (along Nairobi-Machakos road).

Brother of Kinaitore Naaman, the late Silas Mbogori, Joseph Ikunyua, the late Henry Murera, Festus Kimathi and Patrick Kibiti. Brother in law of Joyce Mbogori, Eunice Ikunyua, Susan Murira, Catherine Kimathi and Karuta Kibiti. Father in law of Emma Mwiti, Jean Mwenda, Maryanne Muthuuri, Lilian Mutai and Lynette Munene. Meetings and prayers are being held at his home in Kerarapon, Ngong, and at Festus Kimathi’s home in Kinoru, Meru. The cortege leaves Montezuma & Monalisa Funeral Home on Thursday 2nd February 2017 at 9am followed by a funeral service to be held at PCEA Muteero Karen at 11am. The cortege leaves Jamii hospital mortuary on Wednesday 1st February at 8.30 am for burial service at her parents home Tagwa near State Lodge Maragima Sub-location, Nyeri County at 10.30am.

Jacinta you fought a great battle with immense bravery, you finished the race and you kept the faith. You will be missed by all. Fare thee well.
