It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of our Colleague – Ms. Esther Wariara Thiong’o of Harambee Sacco who passed away on Friday, 24th March 2017 following a tragic road accident on Nairobi – Nyeri Highway. She hailed from Kangemi,Thiong’o road (Thiboro).

Daughter of Simon Thiong’o Kamau and Regina Wanja Thiongo. Mother of Sylvia Wanja of Kenyatta University and Catherine Wanjira of Mugoiri Girls. She was sister of Stephen Kamau, Joseph Wainaina, Catherine Wanjira, the late Francis Mute, Anne Gathoni and David Ndung’u.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her Father’s Residence – Thiong’o Road (NITD) from 6.00 p.m. for burial arrangements.

The Cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on Friday, 31st March, 2017 at 9:00am for a funeral service at St. Michael Jikaze Catholic Church, Otiende, and thereafter proceed for burial at Lang’ata Cemetery at 12.00 noon.

Beloved wife of Mzee Andrea Busisa Kidali. Daughter of the late Manoah Agadinda and Naomi Kasaya of Matsigulu. Loving mother of Gladys, Jane, Phoenes, Linet, Ken, John, Rose, Hesborn and the late Benjamin, the late Elizabeth & the late Nebert. Mother-in-law of the late Ilavuna, Musalia, Nyangacha, Mulonga, Margaret, Nifa, Susan, Kaka, Regina and Mercy. She leaves behind several grand and great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Cherengani Funeral Home on Friday 31st March 2017 at 9.00a.m on a stopover for prayers at her son’s home at the Kanga Farm, Sibanga and thereafter the cortege shall depart for her home in Vuyiya village, Kigama Sub-location, North Maragoli Location,Vihiga County off Mudete – Majengo Road. Burial Ceremony shall be held at Vuyiya Primary School from 9.00am and she will be laid o rest on Sunday 2nd April 2017.
