It is with profound shock and disbelief that we

announce the untimely demise of Girriod Mutwiri

Mugambi (Mbui); which occurred on 23rd March 2017 after a

sudden illness. He was formerly a teacher at Kiamweri

Primary School in Meru County

Son of Mr & Mrs Albert Mugambi (Maiga). Son-in-law

of the late Julius Muthuri and Faith Gaceri Muthuri.

Husband of Doris Makena. Father of Kendi & Karimi.

Brother of the late Mutua, Mukami, Gacheri,

Makena and Gitonga Maiga. Brother-in-law of Kathure,

Mwiti, Nkatha, Mutembei. Koome, Mutugi and

Gatwiri. Uncle, Cousin, Mentor and Friend of many.

Burial Preparations are taking place at Nick’s Grill

(Koinange Street) and at his residence (Gankari

village). The cortege leaves Consolata hospital Nkubu

mortuary on Friday 31st March 2017 for the final

resting place at his home.

Mutwiri, the hymn is over, but the melody lingers on. Rest eternally.

Step-mother of Salome Njeri (Ol Kalou), James Mureithi (Ol Kalou), Noumi Wairimu, Daniel Njoroge and Sammy Mungai (Equity Bank, Industrial Area Nbi). Grandmother and great-grandmother of many.

Uncle to Willy, Mwaiye, Richard, Ndeto, Allan, Mutheu, Sammy, Paul, Nthemba, Andrew, Fidelis, late Jackline, Ndinda, Nthusi, Alex, Leah, Musyoki, Judy and Tony.

He was beloved husband to Rupa Madhu Patel; and Father to Mishal, Karishma (Galaiya) and Shivan. Father-in-law to Saavan Galaiya and Henika Patel. Brother to Kiran M Patel (Farm Auto), Kalpana Patel and Preeti Patel, brother-in-law to Sheela Kiran Patel. He was a loving grandfather to Kayan Galaiya. The cortege will arrive at his residence, 30 Rani Villas, Lower Kabete Road opposite Spring Valley Shopping Centre at 12.00pm and depart at 1.30pm for cremation at the Hindu Shamshan Bhumi at 2pm on Thursday 30th March 2017.

Prayers will be held at the BAPS SWAMINARAYAN TEMPLE, Forest Road on the same day at 7.45pm to 8.30pm
