The Family of Mwarey announce the death of Mr Martin Kiptarus Mwarey of Kaptuiyot Farm Ngeria in Eldoret.

He was the son of the late Kimwarey Cheptogoch and Kabilo of Kiptulos. Beloved husband of Constantina Chebiwot . He was the brother of Samson Mwarey and Nelly Langat.

 

He was Father of Getty, Chepkoech, Cherono, Chemutai, Claire, Vicky, Morris, Dorris, Ramona and Tony.

 

Funeral meetings are being held daily at his home at Kapsoya – Kenya Re and Kaptuiyot Farm Ngeria in Eldoret.

 

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

We celebrate the life of Peter Mwangi Mwangi, 77, who passed away on Monday, April 24th April 2017 at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ USA, surrounded by his loving family.

Son of the late Miriam Wangari and late Joel Mwaura Kamau. Peter is survived by his wife Florence Njeri, and siblings Priscilla Wambui Ngui, Jane Muthoni, Joseph Kaniu, Anthony Wanyoike, Anne Nyambura Muhoro and Laura Wanjiru Macharia. He was father of Catherne, Shiru, the late Patrick, David, Susan (Wambui), Stella and Elizabeth and many nieces and nephews. His grandchildren include Patrick Mwangi and Dennis Mwangi among many other grandchildren. Peter was a friend, mentor, uncle and dad to many.

His final resting place will be in Kagiko, Kandara, Murang’a County on May 5th April 2017. In lieu of flowers please donate to Nyumba Ya Wazee for retired priests of the Cancer Children’s Ward at Kenyatta National Hospital. Funeral arrangements to follow.

Friends and family are meeting daily for prayers at Holy Family Basilica St Faustina Cardinal Otunga Annex from 4pm.

Funeral meetings are being held at Nairobi PLEA St.Andrews Lecture Hall I & 2, Karatina Cheeru Village, Tumutumu Ikonju Village, and at their house in Kiawara from 5.00 pm.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at  Holy Family Basilica Hall starting at 5.30 pm for prayers and funeral arrangements. There will be a harambee towards offsetting the funeral expenses on Thursday 27th April 2017 at the same venue (Holy Family Basilica Hall) starting at 5.30 pm.
The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Saturday 29th April 2017 at 7.00 am for the funeral service and burial to be held at her farm in Nkabune, Meru starting at I 1.00 am.

The Board of Daystar Company Limited and the entire Daystar University fraternity send our sincere and heartfelt condolences and sympathies to Hon. Kimani Wa Nyoike anc the entire family of the late Mrs. Wairimu Nyoike. Mrs. Nyoike was a founding member of Daystar Company Limited which is the sponsor of Daystar University. Cumulatively, Mrs. Nyoike served the Daystar Company and Daystar University Governing Council for over 30 years, during which time she was nominated to serve on the Board of the Company as a director, and served for seven consecutive years.

Until her demise, Mrs. Nyoike was still an active member of the Daystar Company. Her genuine concern for the education sector in Kenya came out through her words of counsel and wisdom, always calling for the need for Daystar University to stand out as the ‘shining star’. Her resourcefulness saw her appointed to numerous committees and taskforces, the most recent being the Search Committee for Chairperson of the University Council and Chancellor of the University. Daughter of the late Evans Nduhiu and the late Grace Wamuyu and Daughter-in-law of the late Baranaba Nyoike and the late Elizabeth Mwara. Beloved wife of Hon. Kimani wa Nyoike; the loving Mother of Eng. Mwara and Eng. John Mwicha Mwatu (GM, KURA); Chuhi and Eva Naputuni Nyoike (Acorn Special Tutorials); Nduhiu Nyoike and Mercy Nduhiu; Wamuyu Manyara and Manyara Kamau. Grandmother to many.

The Thanksgiving service will be held on Thursday, April 27th, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. at PCEA St. Andrew’s Church, Nairobi.
