We the family of the late Peter Rukahu Kinya would like to take this opportunity to express our most sincere & heartfelt gratitude for all the support we received in the form of your presence, prayers, condolence messages, financial contributions, spiritual and moral support during the hospitalization, demise and funeral of our beloved Son, Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather and friend.

We appreciate all those who contributed toward Mr. Kinya’s medical bill and funeral expenses and were able to travel to Nakuru for his burial. Of special mention include: -His Excellency The President of Kenya Hon. Uhuru Kenya CGH, Nakuru County Governor Hon. Kinuthia Mbugua, Nakuru County jubilee Governor Nominee Hon. Lee Kinyanjui, Nakuru county political fraternity, Kenya National Trading Corporation, The Nation Media Group and Standard Media Group, Nakuru Business Association, Vivo Energy Kenya, all the committees in Nakuru headed by the Pillars Group, Committees in Gatundu and Nairobi, PCEA Kiamunyi church and all other churches that provided spiritual support, and the Doctors and staff of Nairobi and Aga Khan Hospitals. Our extended family, neighbours and friends, we treasure you forever.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Lucy Mary Muthoni Maranga that occurred on 25/07/2017, after a long illness bravely borne.

Daughter of the late Elijah Wang’ombe and Esther Wangari of Karago-ini, Leshau, Nyandarua County. Loving wife of Catechist James Maranga Kiruthu of St,Benedict Kiamuiru Catholic Parish Nyeri. Doting Mother of Agnes, the late Esther Herman, Tecia, Ursula, Rev. Fr. Maranga, Speranza, Emilio, Ambrose and Susan. Grandmother and great-grandmother to many..

Daily Holy masses and burial preparations are being held at her Muruguru home from 3.00pm. The cortege leaves Nyeri Funeral Home (Outspan Hospital ) on Monday 31/07/2017 for funeral service at St Benedict Kiamuiru Catholic Church, Nyeri at 10.30am,and thereafter burial at her Muruguru home, Nyeri.

Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace, Amen

Son of Mr and Mrs. Francis Ngugi Kibutha (score). Husband of Agnes Ngina Kamau. Father of Francis Ngugi, Edwin Waweru and Sharleen Wairimu. Brother of the late Jane, Paul, Zipporah, Hilda, Serah,Virginiah, Irene and Susan. Son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs, Peter Waweru.

The cortege leaves PCEA Kikuyu Mortuary at 9.00 am for prayer and burial at his home in Cura in Gatumumu, Kabete Sub County, Kiambu on Tuesday 1st August 2017 from 11am.

There is a fund raising event scheduled at Cura Secondary school on Sunday 30th July 2017 to offset an outstanding hospital bill of Kshs 3.5million. Well wishers can send their contribution to pay bill number 925640 account name: Kamau.

Mother of Sheila Wanjiku and Maryanne Wanja both of Potter-House School.

Granddaughter of Mary Wanja Gatoi and the late James Gatoi of Karinga village Gatundu, and Joakim Nderitu Ndirang’u and Magdaline Waruguru Nderitu of Wamagana village,Tetu Nyeri. Cousin and niece – of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayer and funeral preparation at their residence at Mugumoini Street, Thome 1 Nairobi from 6:00 pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Tuesday, 1st August 2017 at 8:00 am for a funeral service at St. Gabriel Catholic Church,Thome. Thereafter interment at Juja, Kenyatta Road Estate.

Brother-in-law of Dorcus, Nancy, Benard, Simon, Samuel, David, Mary, Joyce and Alice. Uncle of Michele, Michaela, Noble, Praisegates and Joshua. Nephew and cousin of many.

Prayers and meeting are being held daily at Nairobi Norwich house (7 floor, room 5), rural home and Kilifi. The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home Machakos on Saturday 29th July 2017 at 8am for burial at their rural home in Muangeni village – Nguu, Masumba Ward, Makueni County, same day.

The Family of Sen. Dr GG Kariuki thanks Almighty God for His Providence and the gift of GG Kariuki as a husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. We also thank Him for the memories, which we shall forever cherish in our hearts. GG was a blessing to many and left an enduring legacy.

We wish to acknowledge the overwhelming support and expression of sympathy, love and good wishes from friends, relatives, neighbours, constituents and well-wishers. We were touched by the numerous visits, prayers, phone calls, SMS, emails, condolence cards and words of sympathy, which provided great comfort during our moment of sadness and sorrow.

Our profound appreciation to H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta, First Lady WE Margaret Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto, Former Presidents H.E. Daniel Arap Moi and H.E. Mwai Kibaki, and Former First Lady H.E. Mama Ngina Kenyatta, as well as Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and members of the diplomatic corps for their personal messages and finding time to console the family. We appreciate the Parliamentary colleagues and leadership, especially the Speaker of the Senate Hon Ekwe Ethuro and the Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon Justin Muturi for providing material, emotional and logistical support. Special mention to the Senate Funeral Committee chaired by Sen Kembi Gitura for the facilitative role. Thank you for taking time to celebrate GG’s amazing life with us.

We appreciate all those who travelled from far and wide to be with us. Special thanks to the Churches in Dallas (Texas) and Atlanta (Georgia) in the USA for organising memorials.

Our gratitude to the funeral organising committees in Nairobi, Rumuruti, and the County Government of Laikipia led by Gov. Joshua Irungu, and the County Commissioner, Laikipia, for their commitment in ensuring the success of the funeral events.

We are deeply indebted to the PCEA Parishes of Rumuruti, Nyahururu, Loresho and. St Andrews, the Catholic Church and the Akorino, for conducting prayer sessions and requiem services. We  appreciate Njonjo Girls High School, GG Rumuruti High School also, Jayne’s and Parliament choirs, and the Kiama kia Ma for their powerful tributes.

We sincerely thank the caregivers and medical staff at Netcare Sunninghill Hospital (SA), John Hopkins University (USA), Parkside Hospital (UK) and Nairobi Hospital for their tireless care and attention. Heartfelt thanks to GG’s personal staff for their faithful and dedicated service.

Our gratitude to the media, especially Royal Media Services, Nation Media Group, K24 and Kenya Broadcasting Corporation. We are grateful to the service providers, especially Extra Dimensions for their complimentary service.

The family of the Late Francis Gichure Kariuki wish to express our deepest gratitude to all those who stood by us during the most difficult time. We greatly appreciate and are deeply thankful to each and every one of you for your acts of love, kindness, prayers and words of encouragement, material support and the sacrifice of your time. Special thanks to his Doctors both here in Kenya (Nairobi West Hospital) and in India (Apollo Hospital) and all the Medical Staff for attending to him during his illness.

We express our gratitude to Pastor Kamwaro and his team at Deliverance Church Kitengela, Bishop Francis Maina of Gospel Outreach Nanyuki and his team: The Purpose Centre Church Nairobi (Pastors Rogo, Makori and Kyalo); and Rev. Kamau of All Saints Cathedral for their Ministry, Pastoral Care and Prayers. Thanks to all Committee Members for dedicated execution of their responsibilities within very tight timelines.

Daughter of Florence Wanjiru Theuri of Kenya Railways Staff Retirement Scheme. Mother of Enock Clarence Kinyua. Sister of Elizabeth Wambui. Cousin of Wangechi Mwangi (BAT), Wanjiru Gitahi (Catholic University), Kuria Gitonga (Citizen), Julia Ndung’u, Carlos Daniel, Njeri Muteru (St. Peter’s Sec School). Niece of Wanjugu Kamunya (Meru), Dr. Peter Mwathi (USA). John Kinini (E.B.T.I) and Sarah Wanjiku Wothaya among others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Railways Restaurant (KR Station) from 5.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements. Major fundraising will held today, Friday, 28/7/2017 at Railways Restaurant from 5.00pm. Burial details will be announced later.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with a voice of Archangel, and with the trumphet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
