It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mariam Wangari Johana (Wandungo).

Wife of the late Johana Muu Kihia. Co-wife of the late Elizabeth Nyakarimi Johana, Charity Muthoni Johana, and the late Seliphah Wanjiku Johana. Mother of Elena Nyaruai Johana, Esther Nyaruai Johana and Mwaniki Johana among many others.

She will be laid to rest at her Kahiga Home, Gachika Sub-location; Nyeri County on Saturday July 29 2017.

Lord rest Wandungo in your arms as she always sang. . Hymn: Nearer My God to Thee.

Beloved husband of Beatrice Wanjiku Kinuthia. Father of Mary Muthoni Kinuthia (NCC), Godfrey Kihiko Kinuthia( NCC), Perk Wambui Mwinji (Tseikulu), Isaac Kumunio Kinuthia(Lecturer Kenyatta University), John Murichu Kinuthia and Joseph Mburu Kinuthia (Qatar). Brother of Murichu Kihiko and Step Brother of Robert Kinuthia Kihiko among others. Father-in-law of Bedan Githua, Eliud Kithome, Ann Muthoni and Patricia Kadzo. Grandfather of jacinta (UON), Brian, Diana, Allan, Kevin (MMUST), William, Mercy, Antony, Richard, Elizabeth, Glory, Shirleen,Adrian, Humfrey, and Natasha.

Family and friends are meeting at his Mwihoko II residence (near Kiriri University), his daughter’s residence at Utawala and at Eureka Highrise Hotel 5th Floor for prayers and burial arrangements. The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Wednesday 2nd August. There will be a shortprayer service at KU Funeral Home Chapel at 8:30 am – 9:00 am before leaving to Kiranga Village, Muruka Location, Kandara, Murang’a County for Burial Service.

Mother in-law of the late Major Musyimi Ndolo, Rosephera Kavuwa, the late Francis Kityambyu, Muthui Mwanzia, the late Teresia Nzue, Faith Nzue and Rachel Mwanzia. Sister in-law of Vilita, Mututa, Musee, Kasuna and the late Mbiti. Grandmother of Dickson, Kioko, Vicky, Monica, Mueni, Eric, Zipporah, Mututa, Waweu, Mwavu, Mull, Brenda, Dennis, Raphael and Ruth among others.

Friends, relatives and well-wishers will meet today (Thursday) at Holy Family Basilica (Large Hall) from 6.00pm 7.30pm to raise funds and make funeral arrangements. The cortege leaves Muthate Funeral Home on Saturday 29/7/2017 at 9.00am. The funeral service and burial will be held at her home in Kiatine village, Mithini Location (Mutonguni), Kiwi County at 12.00 noon.

Mother of Elder Eustace Njoroge-Lanet PCEA, Joseph Munene of Kalalu Building Contractors ltd, Samuel Muchemi, Charity Gichia,William Munyingi and Nancy Mwaura all of Nakuru County. Grandmother of Robert, Pauline, Roseline, Anthony, Benson, Justus, Rachael, Judy, Beatrice, Eliud, Jane, Mercy, Mihunyo, Joe, Purity, Njogo, Nyambura, Eliud Munyingi, Kinyanjui, Wangare, Antony Munyingi, Kimemia, Eliud Mwaura, Sarah and Blessing. The cortege leaves PNN Funeral Home at Mediheal Nakuru on Tuesday 1st August 2017 at 8.00 am for funeral service at PCEA Lanet-Free Area and later proceeds for burial at Ng’ondu Farm (Green Valley), Njoro, opposite Njoro Canning Factory.

Son of Jacob M’Aburugua and Rael Kithira, Husband of Esther Kathure Thiuru. Father of the late Johnson Bundi, Nilson Mugambi, Wilfred Makandi, Franklin Mwiti and Christine Kajuju. Brother of Jennifer Kathure Kirimi, Catherine Mucece Mwiti, the late Mutembei, Solomon Gikundi, the late Harriet and the late Mathew. Brother-in-law of Geoffrey Kirimi, Mwiti Murugu, Florence Kiende and the late Lucy Makena. Uncle and grandfather of many.

The cortege leaves Meru Level Five Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday 25thJuly at 9:00 am followed by a funeral service at MCK Ntakira Methodist Church 10:00 am and later interred at his home in Kaguru village at 1 pm.
