Jane was the first child of retired Elder Beatrice Wahu Maara of PCEA Macedonia Church, Ongata Rongai. She was a sister of George Maara, Jennifer Kamau, Grace Wambui and Margaret Authier. Sister-in-law of Joseph Kamau Kanyanga, Robert Authier and Margaret Maara. Mother of Lillian Wahu Gathimba, Stephen Muriuki and Faith Wathere. Mother-in-law of Evans Gathimba and Lorna Muriuki. Grandmother of Gakonyo Gathimba, Maara Gathimba and Maara Muriuki. Niece of Grace Wambui Wangai and Lennah Wairimu Maara, a cousin and aunt of many.
Family and friends are meeting for prayers at 5pm daily at her home, Rimpa Estate, Ongata Rongai and at PCEA St. Andrews Church, Nairobi at 5.30pm on Wednesday and Thursday.The cortege leaves Umash Funeral ,Home at 8.30am on Friday 13th January 2017 for a funeral service at PCEA Mother Church, Ngecha – Limuru at 10.00am.Thereafter, the body will be laid to ‘rest at the family cemetery in Ngecha, Limuru.
