It is with deep sorrow that the Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri and the family announce the demise of Rev. Fr. Samuel Kiragu Kamondo (Fr. S.K) which occurred on 1 8/7/ 2026 at Mathari Mission Hospital.

He was the beloved son of Francis Kamondo and Margaret Kamondo from Kairuthi — Othaya Nyeri South Sub County — Nyeri County. Brother of Lucy Wangechi, Alice Waithera, Charles Muhengere, Stephen Kigotho, Susan Wangui, Paul Kanja. He was a cousin and uncle to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Othaya — Kairuthi and Karatina parish at 3:00pm for Holy Mass.

There will be Requiem Mass at Mary Immaculate Karatina Parish on Friday 24/7/2026 beginning at 2:00pm.

Funeral mass will be held on Monday 27th July, 2026 at Mathari Pastoral Centre beginning at 10.00am and burial thereafter at Mathari Clergy Cemetry.

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden passing of Dr. Peter Otieno Ochung’o, Head ENT surgeon at Makueni County Referral Hospital and CEO and Lead Consultant at Hope Ear Nose and Throat Centre which occurred on 11th July 2026.

Dr. Ochung’o was the beloved son of Mzee Paul Ochung’o and Mama Patricia Ochung’o of Sirnur Sub-location, Ukwala Location, Ugenya Sub-county, Siaya County.

He was the devoted husband of Lucy Achieng Alai and a loving father of David Paul, Natalie Patricia, Rosanna Alexa, and Michael Xavier.

He was the cherished son-in-law of Mama Judith Alai Opondo. He was a dear brother of Lucy Achieng Ochung’o (KPLC), Dr. Pamela Ochung’o Mulaku (TUK), and Mark Onyango Ochung’o; brother-in-law of Jacob Otieno, Eng. Winston Mulaku (Ingerop International), Darkine Akinyi, Mary Omondi Olute, Celine Alai, Robert Alai, Cleophas Alai, Edwin Alai and Thaddeus Alai.

He was a beloved cousin of Mwalimu Fred Odhiambo, Maurice Otieno, Boniface Onyango, Yvonne Othieno, Frederick Olute, Alex Omondi, Charles Omondi Olute among many others, and a cherished nephew of the late Charles Omondi, the late James Othieno, Charles Juma, Thomas Juma, and many others.

He was also a loving uncle of Rosemary, Lisa, Gina, Hapi, Imani, Nathan, Emmanuel, Felicity Amor and many more whose lives he touched with love, wisdom, and kindness.

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the death of Mama Jane Wandera, who departed this life on Friday July 10, 2026 at St James Infirmary Hospital, Busia, Kenya, after a long illness bravely borne.

Mama Jane was a caring and loving wife of the late Mzee Dickson O. Wandera and, an adoring mother of Hannington Wandera, Elizabeth Ndongi, the late George Wandera, Lily Suva, Emily Mbaka, the late Deborah Wandera, Phanice Wandera, the late Andrew Wandera and Daniel Wandera. Mother-in-law of Peninah Wandera,Apollo Ndongi, Edward Mbaka, Shade Mukanda and Emma Bwire. She was a doting grandmother of Yolanda, Kevin, Maureen, Shadrack, Warren; Sandra, Bernard, Alfred, Albert, Noella, Anderson, Solomon, Samson, Salome, Natasha, Chantelle, Kieron, Mawenzi and great grandmother of Jalen, Zo, Hazel and JJ.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Mzee Zacharaya Wany’angi and Mama Agnes Musigo. She was a daughter-in-law of the late Andrea Egu Sajja and the late Deborah Ajiambo Wandera.

She came from a very large family and was a sister of many as well as a loving aunt of many nieces and nephews, all of whom will deeply miss her kindness, wisdom, generosity, and unwavering love.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in eBukiri, Samia for prayers and funeral arrangements.

A fundraiser to offset funeral expenses will be held at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi on Tuesday 21 July, 2026 from 5pm.

The body will leave St Francis Funeral Home, Busia on Friday 24th July, 2026 and proceed to St Michael and Angels Church eBukiri for a requiem service and then to her home in eBukiri Village, Samia for overnight vigil.

Funeral and celebration of her life will take place on Saturday 25th July, 2026 from 9.00am. at eBukiri Village, Samia Location.

Rev. Pamela Dreda Oyola

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing into glory of God’s servant, our beloved pastor, Rev. Pamela Dreda Oyola, who answered her call to glory on Tuesday, 14th July 2026.
As our hearts grieve and many questions fill our minds while we process this shocking loss, we hold firmly to the unchanging truth that God is good, and His mercies endure forever. He remains faithful. Pastor Pam is now in a better place, for “to be with Christ is far better” (Philippians 1:23). As the Apostle Paul declared, “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21).
Pastor Pam was a woman of unwavering faith, a courageous fighter who lived by and believed the Word of God until the very end. She devoted her life to serving God and His people, and we rejoice in the assurance that she has now heard the words of her Master: “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21).
As the DCIU church family, we acknowledge that this is an incredibly difficult season for all of us. In moments like these, we are called to embrace, comfort, and encourage one another, beginning with Pastor Pam’s family. Let us surround them with our love, prayers, and support, especially Rev. Ken Oyola and their sons, Brighton and Brayden. We also continue to uphold their close and extended families before the Lord.
As a church, we look to and lean on the Holy Spirit, our Comforter, trusting Him to strengthen, sustain, and carry us through this season of grief. We trust our Heavenly Father to be everything we need Him to be, and we receive His grace, comfort, and healing.
Even as we mourn the void left by her departure, we remain profoundly grateful to God for a life that was exceptionally fruitful and faithfully lived. We honour and celebrate one of God’s faithful servants in our generation a woman who lived and preached the uncompromising Word of God, walked closely with the Holy Spirit, and, through both her teaching and her example, inspired us to do the same.
Pastor Pam’s life was a powerful testimony of unwavering faith, selfless and sacrificial service, and a deep love for God and for people. Though she is no longer with us in body, her legacy will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched, the faith she imparted, and the Kingdom she faithfully served.
We thank God for the gift of her life, and we pray that the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, will guard the hearts and minds of her family, friends, and our entire church community.

Mwenge was a devoted husband of Maureen Syombua and an outsunding father to his belovd daughter Shannel Khabetsa.

He leaves behind two loving brothers Kennedy Ingosi and Nevills Lubuka.

Loving uncle of Pharrell Ingosi, Phareed Ingosi,  Babra Ingosi, Treva Chidi, Praxides Milemba, Raul Weteride, Innocent, Rapheal, Brenda, Fortune and Praise Yolanda.

Wonderful cousin of Pamela Ingosi, Mackline Ingosi, Edward Khaemba, Lydia Mutuva, Alfa Khaemba, Moureen Ingosi, Edith and Evalyne Khaembs.

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the untimely demise of Allan Mwenda Kinyua, who went to be with the Lord on Saturday, 11th July 2026.

The late Allan was a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at the National Oil Corporation of Kenya.

Allan was a loving husband of Julie Wanjiku Mwenda and a devoted father of Theo, Evan, and Ryan Mwenda.

He was the first-born son of Eng. Kenneth Kinyua Mugiira and Dr. Anne Kinyua (UoN), and a beloved brother of Maureen Mukaria and Brian Kinyua.

He was a cherished son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Muthanji, and brother-in-law of Timothy, Gitau, Maureen, Eddie, Muthanji and Ivy. Allan was also a nephew, cousin, uncle, friend, colleague, confidant and mentor to many who were touched by his love, presence, humour and wise counsel.
